Labor Management & Time Attendance Systems Aerospace Industry

Honeywell Aerospace, Phoenix, AZ selected Cetec for its production monitoring and control as well as its workforce management system, based upon requirements identified for the Aerospace and Defense industries. Honeywell began the use of the system in July 2001.

The deployment of the TOS system at Honeywell Aerospace combined complex integration and a strict compliance to Work Measurement standards applied in the Aerospace industry. Cetec’s DEX data exchange engine provided the facilities to link the TOS system with Honeywell’s home-grown production planning system updating its work in progress and PeopleSoft’s Payroll/HR system. Work reporting transactions are entered by means of Kiosks as well as Intermec terminals location in the shop floor.

Northrop Grumman (NGC) Marine Division in Sunnyvale, CA and Space and Electronics Division in Redondo Beach, CA (formerly TRW) are dedicated users of the TOS system. Marine Division has been using the highly robust TOS system for more than a decade.

NGC Space & Electronics workforce of nearly 6000 employees are using the system. Two production facilities, engineering and support services are using the system to report work performed. Integration with accounting, payroll/HR systems and So Lumina's MES system are provided. TOS is supporting labor transactions fed by TOS time reporting facilities and Solumina time entry tools, eliminating redundant time entry and excessive time reporting. Accurate and timely work-time reporting is provided throughout the entire campus. compliance with DOD requirements.

Ducommun Aerostructures contracted with Cetec to install TOS system in Monrovia, CA plant to track and control production execution at the shop floor. The PMC component of the TOS system plus its time & attendance and time adjustment modules were installed at this facility in May 2002.

TOS production monitoring and control provides the tools needed to insure accurate reporting of work performed on simultaneous projects performed by the plant. Employee time is optimized to insure full compliance with DOD Mil-STD-1567A work measurement standards. While scheduling, timekeeping and attendance tracking gave the company valuable tools to manage its workforce, PMC provided the most benefits, significantly reducing production overhead and eliminating time reporting errors by employees.
