Special Features

Demand volume unit of measure is selectable by the property.

Demand can be referenced by number of casino guests, occupancy, or any other measure.

DVF creates demand projected manipulations to provide budget for the scheduling period.

Dynamic processing of various trends, constraints, and rules to achieve accurate forecasting.

DVF contains staffing details applied to create demand for casino floor employees scheduling.

Graphical representation of forecasting demand requirements.

What if considerations to provide the scheduler direct participation in the forecasting process.

Demand Volume Forecasting (DVF)
In many ways, this Projected Volume Screen is the basis and backbone of the DVF module. Almost every other screen within DVF has dealt with projecting discrete job demands required for a given volume. This screen allows a user to project volumes for a specific location over the course of three shifts in seven days. When the Save Changes button is selected, the DVF application will cross reference each volume on each shift on each day with the staffing levels in the Volume Staffing Chart and create actual demands within the DIS Demand Entry screens. These correlated values, in turn, are submitted for Auto Matching and final staffing.

The layout of this screen includes an interactive cross tabular entry form at the bottom of its page. Users can enter any value for any shift on any day and the form will recalculate the footed and cross footed totals automatically. Likewise, a user may enter total for each day or for the week and the form will prorate and recalculate new values for each shift/day.

The top right of the screen holds a graphical representation of the volume totals for each day. This representation aids users in seeing the share of volumes to the total projected for the week. The graph is interactive as well, with changes made to the cross tabular form.

By far the most important tool of the Projected Volume screen is the ability to adjust by adding or removing volumes by percentages (from 5 to 100 percent in increments of 5 percent) in response to trends and other factors that need to be taken in consideration. These factors are configurable by the administrator of the TOS system and the application of this adjustment can be done for any or all required days or shifts by simply selecting the appropriate check box for which the adjustment is required to apply.
