The deployment of a Workforce Management System (TOS) applies various services needed to achieve its successful rollout at a customer site. These services provide the man-power resources for problem free rollout of the TOS system on a turn-key, fixed price and fixed cost basis. Cetec’s success in this effort and its ability to meet identified customer requirements is based upon a close working relationship the company establishes with its customers. This cooperation is at the heart of Cetec’s deployment strategy.
At Cetec we are leveraging the adaptability of our applications to implement the TOS system in accordance with customer‘s requirements and network infrastructure. The design and planning effort consists of the following tasks:
Planning & Review
Rules & Requirements Definition
Security Management
TOS Environment Rules
Software Test Plan
Rollout & Acceptance Plan
Following rollout and acceptance, Cetec provides Maintenance & Update support as needed during normal working hours. Telephone support is provided between 8:AM and 6:PM Pacific Time. A toll free number will is provided for this purpose (800-211-6410). An assigned customer administrator may also access Cetec’s CSP site for additional information about pending update or upgrade. All upgrades are delivered through Cetec’s FTP Site with a Build Log included in the update directory. Customer administrator will be provided with a dedicated user ID and password to access the FTP site. An update directory will be available for authorized users including update requirements and loading instructions. Current setup parameters contained in the PSSIM Table of TOS will remain unchanged.
The most important aspect of the implementation plan is the ability of the vendor to understand the process of managing information at the workplace. Processing interdepartmental relations within the enterprise is also a critical component of this effort. For example at one customer site a total of 6,000 employees will utilize the TOS system among multiple departments, groups, crews and labor profiles. In this case, it was determined that manufacturing for example will use Cetec’s controlled attendance and Production Monitoring & Control applications, while customer’s engineering personnel will utilize a self-service time reporting station. Service industries such as Gaming or Oil and Chemicals will use workforce optimization tools including Attendance and Timekeeping applications. Union rules and various labor conditions creates any number of different labor profiles, each with a variety of work, attendance and pay rules in a number of labor management processes.
